CC Interviews

by Chiyu (and Shaney)

Anubis

Chiyu:
Today we are interviewing Anubis, one of CC's well known members at Jazz Jackrabbit 2. This interview is brought to you by Chiyu and his loyal assistant Shaney. Hello, Anubis.

Anubis:
Hello.

Shaney:
also hello anubis

Anubis:
Shaney, punctuation!

Shaney:
Im sorry must have slipt my pervert mind

Chiyu:
What kind of job do you want to have when you're older?

Anubis:
Probably a programmer, that's the only job that gets paid well here. I'm studying C++ but I'm soo lazy.

Chiyu:
So, Anubis, for how long have you been in CC now?

Anubis:
Since June or July 2005, which makes 2.5 years.

Shaney:
So, Anubis, for how long u try to be a pervert

Anubis:
I'm born a pervert, Shaney.

Chiyu:
Tell me something about yourself. What's your name and how old are you?

Anubis:
I'm Alex, I'm 14 years old, I live in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Chiyu:
How is life in Bulgaria?

Anubis:
I think it's good, although the politicians steal our money.

Chiyu:
Do you plan to stay in Bulgaria for your entire life?

Anubis:
I'm not sure, we'll see.

Shaney:
BTW Anubis , i have done my research in bulgaria , is it true that in bulgaria , many childeren do prostitution?

Anubis:
I don't know, I haven't heard anything like that. Not many at least.

Shaney:
So if u was out of money u wouldnt go that far or would u?

Anubis:
No, of course not. I wouldn't become a boy gigolo.

Chiyu:
I haven't seen any other Bulgarian players online before. Does that mean your family is well to do?

Anubis:
The Bulgarians just wouldn't play JJ2, they would play more popular games, like WoW. Almost every teenager has a computer though.

Chiyu:
Ah, that sounds nice. How did you get in touch with JJ2?

Anubis:
I got a CD with games from my cousins, but they haven't played online. There was TSF on the CD, and a few unofficial lvls.

Shaney:
Well to my knowledge most of the bulgarians play poker ?

Anubis:
Yes a lot of people play poker. I know someone who earns his money with online poker.

Shaney:
Anubis my personal question , Why did the blankanclan/LR die , and what was the feeling when u discoverd that CC allmost killed the clan

Anubis:
I'm not sure why it died, probably because some of the members joined other clans. The feeling was bad at the start but I'm happy that I'm in CC now.

Shaney:
Same for me. Besides CC grew stronger but then yet again , Anubis gain strenght by joining CC, how could a noob like u become so good whats the secret?

Chiyu:
What Shaney means is that, in 2006/2005, we thought that you had reached your maximum skill level, but now you suddenly became a lot better.

Shaney:
His maximum skill level in 2005 was like 1procent compared to me

Anubis:
Well my skills aren't anything unusual. A lot of players become as good as me or better, after playing that much. And I suddenly started to play better and differently, I don't have a secret.

Shaney:
Anyway Anubis , did anyone train u to become better and against who did u do ur tryout in CC?

Anubis:
I've trained with a lot players, but becoming better mostly depended on me. I think I did my tryout against Grytolle. I think I had to duel Grytolle in Distopia and lost 1-10, I just found the duel, it was on 12 July 2005. Sasik gave me a tryout for VS before that, but I wasn't good enough.

Chiyu:
Do you aspire alpha warteam status in CC one day?

Anubis:
I hope I'm good enough some day, but I doubt that will happen any time soon.

Chiyu:
What are your predictions for CC for the future?

Anubis:
It's a stable clan, I think it will live for many years, I hope it becomes the best clan in JJ2 again some day.

Shaney:
Who was ur first friend in CC?, And do u think u could get a girlfriend in CC?

Anubis:
My first friend was Grytolle, it was my first day of playing JJ2 online and my first serious game. I was hosting an Egypt treasure level (the example level for the tileset) as battle. It was only me, Grytolle and Sephiroth in the server for a while.

Shaney:
Anubis what is ur ultimate goal in CC?

Anubis:
I don't have any goal.

Chiyu:
So Anubis, how do you feel about CC's new mini-division Travian?

Anubis:
I don't know yet, we're still in the beginning and we aren't a serious fighting clan yet.

Chiyu:
As we speak, your city Under your bed is one of the best cities in the clan. How do you explain your success?

Anubis:
I upgrade my resources mostly, my building not that much, I raid inactive noobs around me, but I made the mistake of only raiding with 5 soldiers, thinking that 1 of them can carry 45 of each resource, when it was 45 total. I'm logged in most of the time and always building something or attacking someone.

Chiyu:
How many times per day do you check your city?

Anubis:
The window is open most of the time.

Chiyu:
How big is your army now?

Anubis:
3 pathfinders 26 swordsmen 8 theutates thunders.

Chiyu:
Are you planning to build a second city soon, like Ric did?

Anubis:
Maybe, I'm not sure how soon, I want to get a big army first.

Chiyu:
Like how big?

Anubis:
Like 100 theutates thunders.

Chiyu:
What are your predictions for the future of the division? Will -CC- dominate the world?

Anubis:
Maybe it will some day.

Chiyu:
Last question about Travian. What are your most essential tips for new members?

Anubis:
Get a nice raiding army as soon as possible, and read the travian bible by DensterNY on our forum.

Shaney:
Anubis what moment in ur time in CC was the most shocking u ever saw?

Anubis:
Shocking... hm I can't remember anything shocking.

Chiyu:
What other games do you play next to JJ2 and Travian?

Anubis:
RuneScape, it's a Java-based MMORPG. I started playing 6 months after JJ2.

Shaney:
What makes Runescpe such a succesfull game?

Anubis:
Probably having a lot of skills and stuff, and always something to do, so you get addicted for a long time.

Chiyu:
Do you have any other hobbies or interests next to gaming?

Anubis:
Not really, I'm at the pc all day.

Chiyu:
Do you have any siblings?

Shaney:
Geek u must do more then only sit a a pc its really not good for you

Anubis:
Yes, I have a brother, he's 15 years old. I don't want to lie in an interview for CC so I'll tell you that he's not really my brother, he lives with my father, his mother is my father's girlfriend, he's from Moldova and we pretend to be brothers. I don't live with him, so it's not even a stepbrother, I live with my mother.

Chiyu:
That sounds sweet though.

Shaney:
Anubis a question , u pretend to be brothers , no u dont just preend that , u fel like brothers right?

Anubis:
Hm I don't know, maybe. We do it to play jokes on people.

Chiyu:
Do you speak the same language by the way?

Anubis:
Yes, he knows Bulgarian, but his native language is Russian and he knows Romanian too.

Shaney:
Anubis i have seen ur idiotic actions in mIRC that chiyu missed but , live and dead situations if u had to choose wich girl would u sleep with , Novastar or Ana

Anubis:
I vote Shaney for pervert of CC, nice question. If I'm in a life or death situation like this I'll have to choose somehow, but I'm not in one so I don't need to choose. I'll just hope I don't have to choose you.

Shaney:
Anubis if u sit at a pc allday how would u do that? u need to sleep u know

Anubis:
Yes, there's day and night on the Earth, where I live. I go to bed at about 1, and at 12 when I have school early in the morning.

Shaney:
Ok , then How much time do u spent per week at a PC. I spent like , 190 hours a week, in vacations 500

Anubis:
Hmm why do you care so much? And 190 hours are 8 days so you've probably lived in another dimension. I spend about 8 hours a day on school days, and 12 on weekends.

Shaney:
ahwell, Anubis u said in the #craccoclan mIRC room , to unhit to go to me cause u aid i was the blowjob master , My last question of today is , how could u know that

Anubis:
I couldn't know that, but you sound like you are, and my guess was probably right. <[CC]Shaney> the thing is i am really good at blowjobbing

Shaney:
gj ty for this interview Sai A nora

Chiyu:
Thanks for your time, good luck with JJ2, Travian and RS.

Anubis:
Bye, and have fun with your blowjobs Shaney.

Shaney:
GL with ur pc hopefully it maries u

FawFuL

Chiyu:
Hey Faw, A/S/L?

Shaney:
Allways suck Lullen

FawFuL:
A/s/l?

Shaney:
Age Sex Location(sex meaning ur bi or gay ).

FawFuL:
I'm fourteen years old and i'm male, I live in Hengelo (ov) Netherlands.

Chiyu:
That makes you one of the youngest members of our clan. How do you feel about that?

FawFuL:
It's pity sometimes because my english sucks. But they will talk to me, even it's hard to understand.. so I have much fun.

Chiyu:
Does your young age bother you at times? For example, when you're not allowed to go to meetings?

FawFuL:
Yes, I have never been at meetings. I'm too young and my parents won't let me go.

Chiyu:
What if there would be a meeting very close to where you live?

FawFuL:
Then I still have no chance, if I have to sleep there i still have to tell it to my parents.

Chiyu:
That's a pity. What kind of job do you want to have when you're older?

FawFuL:
I have no idea what job I want when I am older.. I guess something with Maths.

Chiyu:
Mathematics? Is that your favourite subject at school? If not, what is?

FawFuL:
Well, I do like maths, but I also like to do English.

Chiyu:
And how many kids do you want to have when you're older?

FawFuL:
I think i want 3 children later.. my parents also wanted 3 children.

Chiyu:
So how did you end up in CC? Why and when did you join?

FawFuL:
I have been in CC since 2007. Why?.. well i guess Because i meeted some guys of you're clan when i started to play jj2. And they were very kind.

Chiyu:
Which CC members do you like in particular?

FawFuL:
Anakin, Stey ,Ana, Anubis, Grytolle, Kyura, Shaney, Riccardo, Maverick, Eigus, Mazza, Quickz, Snooze, Leen, Turkawka and you ofcourse.. i can't really choose.. but i think Anakin, you, Stey and Ana are the people i mostly contact.

Chiyu:
What divisions in CC are you active in?

FawFuL:
Only JJ2 right now, but maybe i will play Travian aswell.

Chiyu:
You should. It's fun.

FawFuL:
We'll see.

Chiyu:
What are your favourite (CTF) levels at JJ2 to play 2vs2s and 3vs3s in?

FawFuL:
Well, this is a really hard question for me, Because I think different about levels then others do, I actually like to play every level if it has a bit gameplay, quality like the anniversary bash levels or much played levels like Blood bunny's lair, Happy semi conductor etc, and CC packs.

Chiyu:
You make levels yourself as well, don't you? Do your consider yourself to be a good levelmaker?

FawFuL:
Well, not good if you look to others, but I think I am talented enough to learn it.

Chiyu:
What are your three best levels? Why don't you provide us with some links to download them?

FawFuL:
Well, that's a bit hard to say because i just started to make levels for a while, and there only 2 online:
Lap Ways!
Hardware Database
These level's aren't that good, if u watch my new level.

Chiyu:
Okay.

FawFuL:
I also started to make Tilesets.

Chiyu:
Can you show one already?

FawFuL:
No, 1 has to be repaired and the other 1 is the one I'm working on.

Chiyu:
What are your other hobbies?

FawFuL:
Scouting and Playing keyboard (piano).

Chiyu:
What kind of music do you listen to?

FawFuL:
All sorts of music.. But I have to listen serious to it.

Chiyu:
What do you mean?

FawFuL:
Well, imo you can only like music if you listen serious to it. Otherwise you will laugh about it, and think it's stupid.

Chiyu:
Name some singers/bands which you like, for example.

FawFuL:
Dream theater, Weird al Yankovich. i dunno much music, most time i just listen to others or to Radio.

Chiyu:
So much for the serious questions. Now Shaney will ask you a few more.

Shaney:
So hows ur life experiance? -____-

FawFuL:
It's very nice, however I don't like my classmates so well.

Shaney:
Why is that what do t do to you ?

FawFuL:
They don't take me serious.

Shaney:
Why wont theY do that?

FawFuL:
I don't know, they think I'm a fool.. they just don't know who I really am. They argue too fast.

Shaney:
So tell me what are ur experiances with girls and/or boys. Well?

FawFuL:
I don't really understand this question..

Shaney:
The question is like what experiance u got with love And/or sex with girls and/or boys?

FawFuL:
Oh..well, i had a girlfriend, but she left me some time ago.

Shaney:
Why did she leave u?

FawFuL:
Well, she didn't really leave me actually.. there was just no firework anymore, we didn't love each other anymore.

Shaney:
How far did the relation go, how long did it last , and what did u 2 do?

FawFuL:
Well, only kisses etc, we weren't there for sex and stuff, but more for fun and friendship.

Shaney:
Ahwell, did u 2 ever touch just for fun or was it just hugging etc ? , And if she saw ur cock how did she find it ?

FawFuL:
Hugs .. further no comment.

Shaney:
Why no further comment? u scared for something?

FawFuL:
well, imo it's not that important.

Shaney:
Just say the truth did she ever saw yours?

FawFuL:
No.

Shaney:
see thats a fair awnswer. So how much time a day u spend wanking ?

FawFuL:
Err.. I don't really do those stuff.

Shaney:
Have u ever done such a thing?

FawFuL:
Not really, why should I?

Shaney:
How long do u think urs is?

FawFuL:
I don't have a ruler.

Shaney:
I asked how long do u think it is , meaning not to measyure it right now , i wonder how long u think it is not how long it is ?

FawFuL:
No clue.

Shaney:
Can u send a picture of it to me or chiyu so we can kinda guess to our knowledge how long it is?

Lennart zegt: I don't really get why u want to know those answers..

Shaney:
(its my job as Gos interviewers)

Lennart zegt: Dude, I don't gonna send a picture of my ****.

Shaney:
So what do u expect to achieve in the gaming world and in ur personal life

FawFuL:
Well, I just want to have a nice job and a family later, and about the gaming world..maybe pwn everyone?

Shaney:
Ty for publicly pwning urself. trouwens lenny dont ever Cross me or double cross me , als je een webcam hebt kan ik ik je net zo bekend maken als starfox

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Release dates:
19 November 2006
8 December 2006

Finally the highest anticipated game of this year has arrived. The next game in one the best licenses Nintendo has. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As was told to us first, the game was meant for the Nintendo Gamecube, but later it was announced that it was also a launch title for the Nintendo Wii! So they had me convinced, I just had to buy a Wii! And I can say that it didn’t disappoint me. But that is probably for a reason…

When a new Zelda game is released, many people like to compare it to Ocarina of Time. This isn’t a smart thing to do because it was the first Zelda game in 3D and almost none of the games can top a change like that. This also happened to the Wind Waker and it ended up in the Hall of Shame because it was to highly anticipated. Many people learned from this and so they now have one of the best Zelda games in their hand.

I’ll first tell you the beginning of the story and how Link starts his adventure. It starts in the small village of Ordon, south of the Hyrule Kingdom. A boy who just reached adulthood gets an assignment from the mayor to bring a message to the Castle. When he is about to do this, the children of the village are missing after running into the forest. Link sets out on his first adventure and manages to save them. Afterwards, when everyone is back in town, the children are kidnapped again. But now by a gang of bandits on large boars. But this time, the girlfriend of Link gets kidnapped as well. In his pursuit of the bandits Link finds a large, black and unexplainable wall. A large hand reaches out of it and pulls him in. In here he turns into a black wolf and knocks out. When he awakes, he finds himself in a dungeon. All of the sudden, a black Imp appears. She introduces herself as Midna, and offers Link the help to save his friends. After his escape of the dungeon, Link and Midna find themselves in the Twilight Realm where only dark and evil creatures exist. Their task? To return light to the world and save Hyrule!

While this sounds very cheap, you will find that the story gets darker every minute you get further. Well, let’s get more to the point of this review and tell you more about the graphics and gameplay.

Graphics: As was announced before, the graphics wouldn’t be much of an improvement compared to the Gamecube games. While this is true, the light and pixel shader in this game are extremely good. This makes it worthy enough as a next generation game. These animations make the world of Hyrule a wonderful place to be, and you just can’t get enough of exploring Hyrule Field. The character models are so diverse, that you’ll never find a model that makes it’s appearance twice! You would easily notice this because the models are easily recognizable.

Sound: The sound department didn’t do a well job with this. Many of the music sequences we already know make their appearance again. Not that it is a bad thing, but they should renew it from time to time. You want to know why? It is still midi! There should be more orchestrated themes by now! Fortunately, this doesn’t spoil the fun of playing this game because there are a lot of new themes. A cool addition to the game is the sound coming out of your Wii-mote. Every time when you unsheathe your sword you can actually hear the sound of it. Or when you shoot an arrow, you can really hear it launch. For the people out there who are complaining about the loud noise coming out of it, get over it or change the volume in the Wii menu!

Gameplay: Many people will recognize the gameplay because it looks very much like Ocarina of Time. Some of the items we all know will return, like the boomerang, hero’s bow and hookshot. But TP also offers a lot of new items which are equally as good or even better! I won’t spoil them here because they are just too great! The puzzles in this game are also quite refreshing. While sometimes they are VERY easy, there are some moments where you want to bash your head in against the wall because the solution is extremely obvious. I’ll give no comment on this because this happened on numerous occasions. Then of course, there is the Wolf Link in the Twilight Realm. This is great since it makes the game more diverse and unique. You can’t use items now, but Wolf Link can dig up items, talk to animals and follow scent trails that are left behind. This adds something new to the Link we know.

Controls: Also highly anticipated are the controls for Zelda on the Wii. While most people expect the motion sensor controls to be 1:1, don’t! This adds another argument to what I said at the beginning of the review. Don’t expect too much of it or you’ll spoil the fun of playing it! This is because the movement isn’t 1:1. Swinging the mote allows you to unsheathe your sword and swinging again ends up in attacking. And in combination with certain buttons you can do combos with this. While this is the hardest part to learn, in the end, you don’t want it to leave. There are too many advantages with this, like accurate shooting with your bow. When you have done that on the Wii, you’ll need time to adapt yourself back again to the shooting controls in Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker.

Frustration: Yes, the game also has its frustration parts. While many people find the controls to be frustrating, this isn’t what I mean. It just takes time and practice. When you have finished the game and you still think the controls are lame, come back then, okay? The REAL frustrating things are a bit different. Just like in Ocarina of Time, you have the Z-Target function so you can easily aim at enemies. While this is quite handy, it gets annoying if you just want to look where you are in case you need to run away. Or when you find a rupee… good god… why do they keep telling me the value of it? It is good for beginners to explain how much a blue, yellow, purple etc. is worth. But when you are at the fifth dungeon and you find a blue rupee, you get quite annoyed when the game pauses as the lines come up with: ‘You have found a blue rupee! This rupee is worth 5!’ Come on! This is probably the hundredth blue rupee I find in this game! Or when you are running through a secret cave for 30 minutes, looking for a chest. And when you finally find one (expecting to find a Piece of Heart) you get a purple (50) rupee! Well, okay that isn’t too bad… but you can’t pick it up because your wallet only has room for 49 rupees! ARGH! That just makes me want to throw the Wii-mote through the room. While these things are quite annoying and irritating, it still isn’t enough to make you want to throw away the game as well.

Conclusion: This is a really great game, and certainly worth your money and time to play it. I estimate the gameplay value about 50 hours, and if you want all of the Pieces of Heart, golden bugs and poe’s, I even estimate it at 60 or 65 hours. While it has its frustrating parts, this is still one of the best Zelda games out there. Now you know the downsides of the game, do not let it blind you of how great it is, just don’t expect it to be better then Ocarina of Time since that is nigh impossible. In my opinion, this game earns a great second place in my Hall of Fame when it comes to 3D Zelda games, and third in overall (just behind Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past).

Gameplay: 9
Graphics: 8.5
Sounds: 8
Music: 8
Replayability: 8.5
Overall: 8.5

Dark Messiah of Might and Magic

Release dates:
24 October 2006
27 October 2006
2 November 2006

Not too long ago, I was searching for a good Hack & Slash Game, one in which you have to fight and create combo's yourself, such as Tales of Symphonia, Soul Calibur, Super Smash Brothers Melee, LOTR Return of the King game, and Ninety nine Nights (the last one I haven’t played) I was recommended Titan Quest, but the game gave me an rts/rpg impression which I was not looking for, I did not want a rpg game in which you can select between "Attack" and "defend" or "magic" and then your character does an attacking animation when attack was selected.

I could not find anything, but not long later, I restarted steam and looked up what games I could play, somehow Tomb Raider just doesn’t interest me and I had already played Half-Life, but then I noticed Dark Messiah was in the list, I had seen some screenshots and video's off this game, but the game looked a bit to much like an oblivion clone in my eyes and it wasn’t exactly what I was searching for, somehow I don’t really like free roaming, I’m more comfortable with an level system as in Half-Life too, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, FEAR or Prey (Compared to Tales of Symphonia, Oblivion, Final Fantasy and GTA).

But I decided to finally give the game a try, and as soon as I first got in game, I was already impressed by the graphics, of course, how could I not, it is source engine which Dark Messiah is built on, One off the best engine's these days. The sword fighting is about the same as in Oblivion but a bit better, you can better stab your enemies and such, also you can kick them into spikes, or from heights, which can be quite fun, as in many parts in the game, there are other ways to get rid off enemies than using your sword or bow.

You do not have to make a decision to be Swordfighter, Archer or Magic user, you get some skill points during the game, but you can only gain some special abilities, you cant improve your stats (at least you can do a small strength upgrade but its not an dramatic improvement).

And just as in Oblivion you can easily switch from bow to Sword, but in many area's you will use the traps/surrounding surface as a weapon instead. Dark messiah is a First person, but without firing weapons, part from bows of course.

Your Character is named Sareth, nice name, but you never get to see how you actually look like, your character does speak however, unlike jj2, part from that, it comes close to HL2 (you see the game from your eyes only, the whole time, I’m serious, that’s really great and realistic).

The story did interest me, but it never got me, I expected a whole lot better and deeper story, than this very peace of crap they put the game up with, the story has no value in my eyes, it may be, quite original, but its to predictive and not deep, you're thrown into a story, without really knowing much, and you're throwing out off it, with many questions, quite a Half-Life 2 deja-vu if you ask me, where all you do is run, but rarely talk, and never get answers (also a bit comparable to "open endings, recently in many games) I'm not going to say if Dark Messiah has an open ending but I’m going to say that it does have multiple endings, so you can actually make your own choices at some points, even though that I found the ending very disappointing myself, I like the idea that you can effect the story (a bit Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy alike).

The Game is a bit in LOTR style (that’s why it looks like Oblivion) so its quite logical that I like the game, based on that. (you will also get in a spider hole at one time, of course as I said earlier, the game is very predictive, so I don’t need to explain, or save a small spoiler for you, that you will meet a giant spider in that hole at a point in the game. So in short, The graphics are good, the sounds are good, the story is bad, the music is ok and the game play is fun.

Now in long, The Graphics are actually one off the best these days, the levels are all different (yet in the level itself is all the same though, comparable with jj2-tilesets) HDR is available, so yeah the graphics are lovely, and provides the game with a good atmosphere. The sounds are good as well and also create atmosphere. The game play is also good, yet the only real puzzle tool you get (one certain rope bow) is a tool which you can easily be bugged in the levels with -.-

The game is not very known, but I think the game is great part from a few things. It belongs to my top list, so I can give this a high recommendation.

So alright, the game itself is fun, good and all, but back to the story, that is just disappointing.

*Spoilers!* (highlight to read)

This following section contains some spoilers, well spoilers, as I said the game is predictive, in the in game world there is some kind of Prophecy that a Demon named "Dark Messiah" will rise soon, guess who it is....... Yes exactly, at one time, you get to an island, and in the temple you get through a door while your girlfriend is opening it, the bad guy, Arantir, enters the room and kills Leanna right before you, no dramatic music, no tears, nothing, the only thing you hear is "Run" no dramatic scene, she just dies and that’s it, now this is just Leanna and Dark Messiah is not a story you get deep in, but imagine what shock it would bring if a character from HL2 such as Alyx would die ?, or aeris from FF VII, yes way more dramatic, since you are more involved with the story, she maybe dies to soon also.

Anyway not much later in a scene, which is seen from your eyes though, Arantir kills you, yes you die in the game, actually, a bit Ninja Gaiden alike. When you come back, you will be the "Dark Messiah" whatever, the only thing you can become is a strong demon form, because the wizard in the beginning put stupid Xanna in your body. As for the ending ? I rescued Leanna from the spider pit, of course, but I forgot/didn’t find an house in Stonehelm which would release me from Xanna, when I remembered, it was to late because I had already seen Leanna (in half demon form) So she started fighting me, I found out later that it was not supposed to be and that the game had multiple endings, but first I found it a bit Prey Alike, in which your girl becomes a monster and you are forced to fight and kill her, apparently, in Dark Messiah, you do not have to kill her, at that point she just becomes an enemy, but in most games these days, not all enemies have to be killed, you simply need to reach the end off the level alive. When I was fighting her, she got stuck in a corner, and I could just open the door and walk away, I decided to leave her behind, stuck, but alive, I never saw her again (I will replay the game, and do the other ending next time though)

The ending level has a good creepy atmosphere and is not just a small level, then you will finally see Arantir and just start fighting him, you will easily beat him, but then he summons a strong dragon, after that, you are to make a choice to keep the skull of shadows (ultimate power) for yourself, or to share it with your demon father, in which the first is a good ending and the last is a bad ending. I took the first ending, but its great when you walk to the temple and you will make it look like that you are going to revive your father as well.

The game’s difficulty? well in the beginning there are not enough healing items, part from that, you may have too little hp, but that can be upgraded, you will really see that you need the traps to survive, the game can be defined as quite hard, actually

Anyway the game is worth playing, and will provide you with an nice adventure, despite from a not very good.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestial
(or rather: Elliot's mother)

Release: 1982

Dont get me wrong on this revieuw but, I had not seen E.T. till 2006, I dunno i just never bothered, i didnt think such an old movie (1982) The Extra-Terrestrial seems to be its full name, and it was on a Dutch TV company this year so i decided to watch. It appear to be the "remake" Which would had ET's emotions edited, the cops pistols replaced by walki-talkies and mike going as a "hippie" insteat as a terrorist to the halloween, are some i read about. (also the added scene "anyway why would Elliot go to the forrest").

Anyway i'm not really a movie revieuwer so i'm starting on the actors first, which is also the main reason of my revieuw.

Elliot Did an excellent job i think, nothing to complain about although the fake crying was really bad, also his acting in the class room was a bit stupid. But his emotion and brotherly love make up for that.

his sis, who my mother said, that she became a well known actor ( i'm not really up to date iff it comes to actors ) I'm ofcource not exactly sure what role she was suposed to play in the movie, but i think she did a pretty good job, loved how she said lines like "ohw where's Mexico" or "i thought him how to talk he can talk now" . Not tracking to much attention, only when needed.

His brother, who you get a idea off that he wanted to be involved more in the story, but does a good job in their family traditions, lines like "absolute power" and "most excelent promise" and i loved the part when he called Elliot S.O.B.

Their mother, AWFULL, total and maybe only reason why i decided to write a revieuw, SHE's TERRIBLE, SHE's THE WORST Mother they could have put into the movie, unless this was her role and the movie's real intention, my next words are well ment. I'm gonna revieuw EVREY action off her:

Intro: Ok she has no actions here but i found the intro pretty confusing, you see a group off boys, in which you cannot understand the family relationship yet. Also its a good thing ET doesnt come in straight away but he does come to early.

Dinner-table-session: TERRIBLE, how she looks at elliot would make you feel sick and unconfortable if you would be sitting there, especially as her son. VERY stupid clothes, VERY VERY VERY stupid smile and look. The worst part is when Mike is teasing Elliot, and Elliot stands up and swears with something unique, that the mother starts to laugh and then says stupidly "sit down" TERRIBLE. The little girl acts so good here btw. And then when the women starts to cry, she gets even worse.

Fake-sick-elliot: Ok she acts a little better here, formal clothing and care for her son, but the way she walks is still disturbing. Good line when she asks wether Elliot was outside last night.

Rush-room part: This is so fake, when the mother comes home, she litteraly RUNS upstairs opens the door with 2000 miles in 1 second, RUSHES into the room and directly manages to find elliot in the oposite corner and especially her expression at that moment is terrible.

Busy-mothert part: This is so stupid, her doughter states TWICE that she wants her mother to meet somebody and yet she doesnt pay any attention to her.

Read from book: This is actually one off her better scenes, but she should have skipped that applause.

Haloween: Her costume/dress is terrible but her reaction to her kids costumes is EVEN worse.

Elliots lost and return scene: When Elliots lost and found she acts "normall" for her doing till Elliot comes back she becomes that terrible witch again.

Hospital scene: She acts as a real mother and support here, good scene in fact for her.

Removed car scene: Her laugh is so disturbing.

Sick scene in house: On one part its good that she reacts worried to Mike when mike wants her to follow him, on the other side she should just come with him directly and not say things twice. "Thats terrific" ? that line doesnt make any sence ? at all... Then she drops her glass, how stupid are you ? Thats so done on purpose YOU KNOW that you have a glass in your hand!!! ok this is a movie but... i mean come on ) But still for her i think it was the only thing she could do because in her case it would be worse if she had to say something like "OMG". Then when she says "downstairs" she's being the stupid mother yet again, how can you not hate her ?

End scene: And this is the worst, at the best part off the movie, she just HAS to ruin it all, in first getting on her knees to the ground was a wrong move, but it gets worse when the emotion is at its peak that there is a close up off her sad face, and her laugh when the space ship leaves with a rainbow is also stupid, she and only she RUINED the whole scene! I say again, if this was trully to be her role, then i blaim ET's directors for this, although i would not be able to understand not accept why, then i'd admit that the mother actor had done a very good job with a role as very anoying mother.

The little girl, does a good job till she sees Mike who's almost crying and then she feels that she should cry herself. Mike does a decent job, not taking to much time with ET and yet an interaction, also being a good support for his sis. Their friends should definetely have been left out in the movie for their rare appearence The father/hopspitol guy, he's a bit weird i mean not in person but in position i dont know who he really is so i cant rate him for his role but he does a pretty good job in his conversation with elliot, especially when he brings elliot to ET. At the end he makes a mistake but his appearence was also rare. Elliot is being the best here, how he walks up to ET knowing that its going to be a goodbye, but that "shock" part was rather bad.

RoyalB

RoyalB:
Eej.

Shaney:
Hey.

Shaney:
so how did u get involved with CC?

RoyalB:
You can read that on the forum, but chiyu thought I would like to play travian. So I started playing it, and after some days he asked whether I would like to join CC, so.. that's how it all happened...

Shaney:
so what ae ur goals in CC, what is ur drive in this clan

RoyalB:
Pfff... For now im just trying to be an ordanary member. i am planning to make a genuine CC flag, as chiyu and i talked about that once. and ofcourse i'ld love to meet all the nice members that make CC what it is, expand my group of friends. i dont play games really often, but i am interested in it and i like strategy games most of all

Shaney:
anyays im quite legendary some say , what do u think i did to become legendary

RoyalB:
What you did to become legendary?? I hardly know you, so how can I say something useful about it?

Shaney:
i didnt became a legend witrh gaming skills i did it via social skills , ask people about the starfox incident and some members in the mirc room know hat i did

Shaney:
so how is ur life what style of live u got ? (PS notice to my record book slowest interview yet)

RoyalB:
I think I lead a peaceful, quiet life. I don't like going out or acting wierd. My motto is "doe maar gewoon dan doe je gek genoeg" (I dont quite know how to correctly translate that without losing the essence of it).

Shaney:
my motto is doesnt matter if ur gay or bi , everything u do is worth the try

RoyalB:
I'm sorry for my low speed answering, but I'm quite busy you see, and I have to think about what I answer.

Shaney:
u dont need to think them just type what u feel

Shaney:
So i heard ur gay, how many experiance u got ? so well now im wondering since not the whole world would se this interview , give me an awnser a hounost one

RoyalB:
I hope youre not asking for my experience 'in bed', couse youre not going to hear that from me.

Shaney:
its not about that ur experiance to love boys

RoyalB:
How many boyfriends I've got, is that what you want to know?

Shaney:
know its like since when u got experiance how did u find out etc. i didnt ask for ur sexual experiance

RoyalB:
Ah ok, wrong interpretation, sorry. Well.. I'm quite late with finding things out.. I have had some clues in the past, but I thought I would get over it and be a 'normal' man, fall in love with a girl and stuff like that. But i was doubting more and more... A friend of mine I met at the university I study, with whom I can talk really well, helped me a lot with it. He did a really great job, not in the last place because hes gay too.

Shaney:
what type of job?

RoyalB:
Helping me finding out what my true feelings are towards men.

Shaney:
aha. and did u have felings for him?

RoyalB:
No not more that to any other friend. Besides, hes got a boyfriend already.

Shaney:
I was thinking like maybe u felt for him and that triggered the whole sequence

RoyalB:
No i asked him how his lovelive was, and whether he had a girlfriend. He answered; no and I don't need one either. So I asked if he was gay, and he was, and thats how it all started.

Shaney:
aha last question how do u feel beeing gay , and how was ur first kiss , what did it feel like.

Shaney:
cmon man last question i need to go u see

Shaney:
u know what ill read ur awnser after i return in 1,5 hours

RoyalB:
I feel fine being gay, I'm really gay about it. And my first kiss woth a boy was nice. We kissed under the waterfall, really romantic.

The Dangers of AdBlockers on the Internet

by Nimrod

The Idea behind Ad Blockers.

These days many programs sell themselves as being able to block internet adverts to improve the "Internet Experience" for users, some are free like Adblock for Firefox while others cost like AdMuncher. What they do is simple, they remove known adverts from a web page and show the users the site with them removed. Some use Javascript to pick up keywords and remove them while others just block certain urls from loading (like Google Adsense).

Costs of running websites

For some reason in the world we live in, people just don't seem to consider that hosting a website isn't free (partly due to sites like Freewebs and Yahoo Geocities). Costs can vary, some smaller websites are hosted on what's known as a Shared Host, where a Web Host puts up to 2,000 hosting packages on one single IP, and as such offers cheap hosting around between $2 and $10 a month. Digiex use to run on a shared host called Bluehost. Then as sites become bigger, shared hosting isn't really suitable due to the slow speeds a busy site will experience on them (as its also hosting another 2,000 sites..) and eventually have to move onto bigger hosting. Usually one or more dedicated or Virtual (VPS) servers. This is where costs can move up massively from as little as $40 a month to $1,000's when they grow. An example would be Neowin.net a site many of the staff here are fond of, where as their site grew, they couldn't even cope with one Dedicated Server and had to move onto more.

For this example, I will use this website you are viewing (Digiex). When we were small back in 2004 we hosted the site on a home PC's. Myself (Nimrod) built a old PC out of spare parts, installed a server operating system (Windows Server 2003) and Digiex coped just about being hosted on that. The problems experienced where with the internet connection, home internet connections just couldn't cope (50kb upload limit). We then moved onto a very cheap shared hosting provider (Hostpointe.com). This did fine for a while, but we outgrow their small 10gb a month limit and had to move up. We then went to Bluehost which offered more bandwidth which we needed. The costs them moved up to around $10 a month. We lasted on that for 6 months before our site got too many hits and kept becoming suspended as we used more than our fair share of CPU usage. This is when the costs jumped massively. We couldn't afford a Dedicated Box so we went for what's considered the next step in Web Hosting, a VPS (Virtual Private Server). This means we shared a box with 4 other users but each "customer" on the box was hidden from another using some fancy Virtualization trickery, and the appearance of our own box is given. This currently costs Digiex $40 a month. You may be asking why I'm boring you with Digiex's history and whats the relevance with Ad Blockers, but it will be explained further on. Digiex is just an example, of the hosting costs behind Websites and the fact is, they do cost someone money to host.

Some Websites don't apply to this though, like online shops (i.e. Amazon.com) as their website is paid for to sell products on it and as such, it inst really hosted at a loss.

So how do websites cover there cost?

There is a number of ways internet sites seek to gain revenue to pay for themselves:

* Charge for Access. Some websites charge for access to "premium" content which costs them time, and bandwidth costs.

* Online shops like Amazon don't need to seek ways to cover their bandwidth costs because by providing the online shopping experience they are getting customers to buy their products.

* Take Donations to cover their costs. A website which providers very popular content to a wide number of people can sometimes make Revenue solely from Donations. But this doesn't always work. An example would be the Bluetooth Driver Digiex provides. This driver potentially saves users $10 by saving them having to buy drivers from the makers website to use there bluetooth. Based on the number of downloads (at time of writing) Digiex has saved 5,000 people, that's potentially a saving for consumers of $50,000. What has Digiex got in return for it? Nothing. The Problem is simple, to many people live in this culture of getting stuff for free. Its difficulty to near impossible to live on Donations. (Note: Digiex did not attempt to make money from the Bluetooth driver, but it has costs us in terms of bandwidth and the author doesn't think it to bad if at least one of those 5,000 downloaders would consider donation a dollar to cover the bandwidth costs.

* Ad Revenue - This is by far the biggest and most effective method of covering bandwidth costs. The idea is simple, by putting a small Advert block somewhere on the website, publishers will pay around $1 per 1,000 viewers. Some websites can cover all there bandwidth costs by this, where smaller sites (Like for example Digiex, can cover 20% of there bandwidth costs). Some websites go further than others, I have noticed websites which have very little content, but tons of adverts and others which have one Ad Block on them and tons of content.

So what are the dangers of using Adblocker software?
If you haven't picked up on it, the dangers are simple. You are removing the webmasters way of getting Revenue. Though this doesn't sound bad by itself, and some would argue that some websites don't deserve a penny. While it is true some websites are out solely to make money from you via adverts. Other websites are just trying to gain some of their operating costs so they can keep going.

I have one challenge for you:

For one day if you have an Ad Blocker, turn it off and browse as you would usually do. Look at how many websites you visit during the day that interest you, from Gaming websites to News websites. Notice how the majority have some form of advertisement usually in a way which doesn't effect the enjoyability of the website.

After a day, feel free to turn the Adblocker back on. But now imagine this:

A day where all those websites are either gone or still exist but charge membership just to view.

Doesn't sound that appealing does it? Well if around 90% of the internet users used an Ad Blocker, that's pretty much the only way half of the websites you view could still exist.

Arguments for using AdBlocker software:

While this article is pretty much against the use of AdBlocker software, I thought it would be worth looking at the Arguements for using Adblocker software I have seen around the internet:

"I pay for my internet connection, I pay my electricity and I pay for my PC, why should I waste my bandwidth and PC resources to view adverts?"
While the points being said make some sense, and infact is the opinion I had until recently when I got into running websites, it is flawed. Yes you pay for those things, so enjoy the internet as you see fit but then surely you should only stick to Websites that don't offer adverts, I'm sure the internet would be "worth" the money if you could only view a handful of sites like Amazon, BBC News (Which British people pay for via other methods) and other online companies. But you paying for your internet connection and PC doesnt pay for Bandwidth costs for websites which are providing you with content and all in return you need to do is have a small advert block somewhere. Again, I would continue to stress to follow my challenge and consider if the internet you are helping to shape is the internet you would like to waste your money on.

"I dont view adverts or click on them anyway, so websites aren't losing anything"
Lets be truthful here, the majority of people do ignore adverts, including the very people who create the website with them on! (Heck, I ignore adverts). But webmasters don't really expect people to sit there and view them. Money is given to webmasters based on number of views. You can ignore them all you like, but the fact they loaded even if you choose to ignore them, covers the website costs. By using AdBlockers, you are stopping the adverts from even loading, to instead just view a blank space where they would have been? To be honest, it doesnt benefit you as much as you think, but it does hurt webmasters and the very sites you are viewing on.

"Its my choice, not webmasters!"
Again it is, this is not about forcing you to view adverts. Just consider the argument being put forward.

"Only a small number of people use Adblocker, me using it won't effect websites as a whole!"
While its true at the moment the number of people using AdBlockers is around 10% and revenue can come in from others not using it. In time this will change, as more and more people adopt it. At the moment if you are using it, your part of the problem, and that part will continue to grow and grow.

"Some websites are horrible with the amount of adverts, I cant even see the content well without an Ad Blocker"
Well simply put, AVOID THOSE WEBSITES. Go to another website which offers the content with less adverts. If it is the only website with what you need on, either choose to avoid it based on the adverts they have and there morals, or put up with it.
To be honest most websites with tons of adverts, tend to be those websites with illegal content, like cracks and keygens. Avoid them if it bothers you (You shouldnt even be going on them in the first place).

At the end of the day, with an up to date web browser, you are fully in charge of your internet experience. If you don't like a website based on its advert content, then vote with your pocket and avoid it. If everyone did that they wouldn't generate any revenue and consider other methods. Websites with minimal adverts and good content deserve your page views wheres other sites which try and bring you all to show nothing but adverts (like Ad Farms) should be avoided.

If you are going to use an AdBlocker anyways

Even after reading this, if you still choose to use an Adblocker please consider one thing. Don't EVER pay for an AdBlocker like for example AdMuncher. To reward someone with your cash who makes money out of ripping Webmasters off is difficult to call moral. Its your choice to remove ads, but please don't consider rewarding someone who makes programs which has the potential ruin the amount of content on the Web. Consider the sites on the internet, if Ad Revenue was down, website quality would disappear. The only way half the sites could continue to operate is via other methods like CHARGING for content. If instead of 10% of the Internet Population used Ad Removers, and it was 90% the internet would be so different. The resources wouldnt exist.

If you really must installed an Adblock, may I recommend this one as it is free: http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/
firefox/addon/1865

Conclusion

At the end of the day, its each individuals choice as to if they wish to browse the internet as it is, or choose to install some software to block Adverts. While AdBlocker use is only around 10% of internet viewers at the time of writing, if people continue to recommend them to friends and family over time this will keep increasing, and as the numbers of users with Adblock's grow the number of websites providing content for free will slowly disappear. Although the problem is small at the moment, the way it seems to be growing could danger the existence of websites in the long run and I am concerned as to what the internet will look like in another 10 years if the adoption of blockers continues.

The gist of it from a webmasters point of view: Why should you view their site which is given to you for free at their own cost, if your going to hack out the advert which pays for your viewing?

If you have any views you would like to add to this article, please just send me a private message or reply.

10 November 2006

It all starts in a field.. a big field... Suddenly you hear someone next to you talking.. Slowly you open your eyes.. en you hear a pokemon talk to you! But how is that possible a pokemon can’t talk human language??!

You are suprised and ask the pokemon where he learned to speak a human language.. The pokemon say’s i don’t know human language i talk in a pokemon language!! That’s inpossible so i as a human can hear you???!!! Haha ooh silly, your not human you look like a pokemon.. like me!!

Noo that’s inpossible???? You look to the left, to the right ... Ooh my god it’s true i am a pokemon !! How did this happen? Why did this happen?

Suddenly a butterfree storms out of the woods.. HELP ME!! HELP ME!! MY LITTLE BABY FELL INTO A GIGANTIC FISSURE HE IS LOST IN THE WOODS PLEASE HELP HIM!!! MY POOOOR BABY!!!

The pokemon from earlier ask’s you if you want to join him on a rescue mission! You agree and both go into the forrest called TINY WOODS.. After a rough battle with all kinds of pokemon you finally.. find baby caterpie! You your partner and baby caterpie all escaped from the forrest!

Later on the pokemon you joined the rescue mission with ask’s you if you got a home.. You don’t know you don’t even know what happend why did you turn into a pokemon??! The pokemon ask’s you to follow him.. suddenly the pokemon stop’s and walks into a little garden with a little house!! You act all suprised and the pokemon say’s this is your new home!!

You thank your new pokemon friend! And your pokemon friend ask’s you if you want to become a rescue team together and figure out how all of this happend ! Ofcourse i will you say. Later at night while sleeping you have a dream of a pokemon.. It tries to talk to you.. out of fear you suddenly say who are you.. where are you.. Gar....ire d.....

Now your adventure will begin !! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team!!

Graphics: The Graphics are very cool! Ot’s very collourfull and it has a cool design! The pokemon in the game all look also very cool.. although some pokemon evolve into not so cool pokemon.. because the character graphic’s are so small but hey some evolved pokemon look even cooler like let me say.. Arcanine! And Starmie..!!! and ofcourse more of those..!! The graphics are good that’s all i gotta say if you think the game sucks? Don’t blame it on the graphic’s!!

Sound: The sound is nice for a few hours but after that it gets a little anoying like the old pokemon games like pokemon gold, silver, crystal, Etc Etc, the same tididi song over and over but that’s no problem when you turn of your sound ! it’s also good for your gameboy you can play longer with no sound! The sound is fun for a few hours maybe 4-5 but after that you get a little crazy!

Gameplay: The gameplay is fun! It has a happy vibe and it’s a lot of fun and very challenging some challenge’s you will have to try 2 or 3 times but it’s worth it while your in a dungeon you can check out in the menu witch pokemon that will be attacking you in the dungeons can join your team.. although you have to defeat that pokemon first and after that you just have to hope if it wants to join your team couse he can ask you if he can join your team but you can’t.

Controls: The Controls are easy to use. Just use the walk button’s to go the direction you want. When your on a mission and you are in a alley of the dungeon and you push B you wil go 10 times as fast as the normal speed of the game so that you will get out of the dungeon faster!

Frustration: The game is fun. But a little bit the same, all the dungeon’s look the same. There are some difference’s in the dungeon’s one is underwater the other is in a forrest the next job you get might be in Mt.Steel you just don’t know what you can expect! Also it’s frustrating when your start fighting the legendary zapdos it took me 10 times to beat him! That’s not all after that you also have to beat articuno and moltres ( some of these are easier to defeat depends on what pokemon you became!)

Conclusion: Fun game! It has a great layout! The sounds in the game are a little anoying But with that said i think it’s a very cool game and the fun part is when you start over you can become other pokemon too just answer the questions in the beginning with an other answer!
