Merry christmas all!

First of all I'd like to wish everyone a merry christmas!
I must say I'm really glad about how the RS and AoE divisions are developing. Both are rapidly getting lots and lots of new members. On AoE3, we have been asked for an alliance with OTW (Out The Window, also known as Team Jihad). I accepted. This alliance means that we will do practice clanwars with eachother's clans and will invite them to our private trainings when we don't have enough own members online. Visit their modest site here.
I have decided that to speed up our expansion, the limit on the amount of officers needed to be lifted. So now everyone who would like to be officer in AoE3, can request this at our forums!
JJ2WC3 is (probably) coming up on JJ2, the clan tournament which we won in 2005. Of course we will do our best to defend our title ;)!
2005 is almost over. Without a doubt we can say 2005 was one of the most succesful years for the clan so far, it reminds me of the glorious 2002 :P. On Jazz Jackrabbit 2, we have recruited many awesome members through the years who seem to belong just as much to "the core of CC" like us oldtimers do! For example, take a look at Quickz, Gr33n Pl4nt, Snooze, Umba, Messiah, Wrath and Titan! And let's not forget all those members from LR (or LB) either ;D. Our clanwar results don't lie either (not a single round lost). Winning JJ2WC2 was one of the major events this year. Nice, very nice.
This year we've also witnessed the succesful revival of the Runescape division (it's better than ever) and the creation of the Age of Empires 3 (sub-)division, which is really active and popular in the clan. To cut a long story short: in 2005, despite a few quarrels and stressful situations, CC has shown what it's capable of. I would personally like to thank all the GameLeaders (Vegito, Sanderstijl and Gogeta) and Vice-GameLeaders (Grytolle and Rocko) for their perfect work! Thanks a lot guys :). Of course, everyone else deserves praise as well. And guess what? We'll be still be here in 2006 >D!

The new Age of Empires 3 division is developing at a rapid speed. We already have quite a number of members (although Sanderstijl said he wanted at least three times as much so there's still room for new people :)) and the division is very active!
Good members like Test, Drenthe and Braha were introduced to our clan. Because of his dedication to SwD (the name of our division on AoE3) Age of Empires 3, Rocko (Rockie in-game) got elected for Vice-GameLeader of the AoE division! So yeah, we finally have a new ECC'er in our flanks again :).

Age of Empires 3 has been released in both the US and Europe! Meaning it has been included in the AoE division. It's a great game but unless you find an non-used serial, you will need to buy the game to play online (it's worth it, IMO). We haven't decided on what name to use there, since the game has official clan support, and the CC tag has already been taken. We're still recruiting for our team, so if you're interested, let us know!
A lot of games came out recently. In our IRL division (the games we play at official tournaments at the CC IRL Meetings), Soul Calibur 2 has been replaced with Soul Calibur 3, and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 has been replaced with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi. New characters and stuff owns ;). Oh, and, everything's going great in JJ2 and RS. The RS division is becoming really active again (thanks to GameLeader Gogeta) and in JJ2 our alpha (red) and beta (yellow) members have already started preparing for JJ2WC3!

CC has celebrated it's sixth birthday this weekend, during a meeting in the Efteling. 9 people showed up, and the meeting was really terrific! Without a doubt one of the best ones so far. Quickz, Oiboi and Spybunny made their first appearance on CC meetings last week, let's hope to see them again many times in the future! Partly due to the success of this meeting, the good atmosphere is back in CC, in fact the teamspirit is better than ever!
Allow me to quote some of the more interesting reactions from the visitors;
"The scenery and the people were great.. the weather wasn't that bad at all... uhm... so overall: just GREAT :P??" - Quickz
"That the meeting was much better than the last 2 ones.. I really liked this meeting. Meeting 3 totally new persons as well. really fun :) though it was crowded in the theme park." - Vegito
"The Meeting was great, one of the best meetings ever, if I could do this day over for 100 days, I'd do it." - Anakin
"The CC Birthday was the best meeting I think so far, I liked to see Andrew again. And the best part was to meet Stephan (Quickz) and Wesley (Spybunny). In one woord: AWSOME!!!!!" - Dx
Since we have left CKA (just like 8D did), we've been without allies. Having allies at JJ2 to organise events with and to train with is generally a good idea, so we looked for a new companion. The Rabbit Roasters (lead by the Finnish Hipper and the Dutch Jerry) was our top choice at the moment, so we proposed them an alliance, and they gladly accepted. I look forward to cooperating with [RR] :).
Also, I'd like to announce that both Nimrod and Yasco have been kicked from our clan (they were both only in the "Other" division, which may have influenced this). This was decided by letting the seven ECC'ers (Anakin, Chiyu, Gogeta, Grytolle, Neo, Sanderstijl and Vegito) vote about whether we still wanted them in our clan or not. In both cases, all seven unanimously voted "kick", so that's clear I guess.

Here we are, celebrating our 6th birthday. Yes, it's already been six years that the clan was created. This year, we will have a special birthday meeting on the 24th of September, in the Dutch theme park called "the Efteling". And afterwards, we might do some extra stuff like bowling or going to the cinema (depends what the people want). Any CC member who asks me about it is welcome! We are expecting members from all three divisions, it'll be great.
Also, recently, six old members have rejoined us. Respectively; Messiah, Vegito, Shaney, Mechanic, Skeven and Snooze. Although Vegito, Skeven and Snooze were only briefly gone.

It's about time I made a news post about this. Alright, by ChippieBW's initiative, CC and 8D have united to form a new clangroup (like CTU, years ago). We invited VS to be our third member. Pretty much everything has been settled, except that we're still looking for a fourth member. The participating clans help eachother whenever possible. For more info, check http://www.cka.ncmv.net.
As a short notice, CC has succesfully recruited two new alpha warteam members; Gr33n Pl4nt and Snooze.

You may have noticed that a new division was added some days ago. This is basically a division for "in real life" only, with SSB being an exception because we play it can play it on-line by emulator together as well.
At CC IRL Meetings, we have always hold a tournament (for the past 4 years), consisting of more or less the games now in the IRL division. With the exception of the SSB sub-division, you can only join this new division by showing up at a CC IRL meeting and showing you're decent in one of the 5 games;
Super Smash Brothers (N64), Super Smash Brothers Melee (GC), Soul Calibur 2 (GC/Xbox/PS2), Tekken 5 (PS2) and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 (PS2).
This division is basically a warming up for 2006/2007. I'm planning to expand CC to consoles (with the next gen consoles coming up), with Super Smash Brothers 3, on the Nintendo Revolution, as a (sub-)division for sure (8 player support through free on-line play).
Oh and by the way, check out the updated Profiles section.
Last message for now; CC is now allies with both 8D (Eight Dimension), a new clan lead by ChippieBW, and VS (VerSus), second best clan in the world according to JJ2WCII's outcome. More info about this in the next newspost.

CC Newspaper #8, aka the "JJ2WCII Special" which has just been released, can be found here:
CC Newsletter #8 (English)
This newspaper reflected back on the months April (in which Grytolle was voted to be Member of the Month) and May (in which Vegito was voted to be Member of the Month).
A few weeks ago we launched the lineage2 division but as GameLeader I am looking for new members. We switched servers last week. The new server is better the drops rates are higher and you will get more sp and exp, and it's less often down.
To download the game you have to go to http://www.craccoclan.com/downloads/Lineage2 - C2 Client & DooM patch.torrent.
You'll need a torrent program (I suggest BitComet, which can be downloaded at www.download.com) Just ignore the Doom patch that comes with it.
It's a 1.62 gb file.
After that you have to go to www.l2extreme.com.
> Server
> l2extreamguide
You see 5 points go to the thing at point 2.
Scroll down at the new page you recieve and find at the left side of the page patch links.
> Download Patch Mirror #1
if you're done with that downloading this torrent, use any program BittComet (which can be found at www.download.com) to open it and the patch will be downloaded on your computer (takes about 2 hours).
If you're done with installing the game, install the patch. Then delete the System folder, and run the l2x auto-updater.
You can register an account at at http://www.l2extreme.com/gamecp/register/index.php.
If you've done this you can finally play (by running "Launch L2x")! Make sure you don't take the 35x server but the 7x server, as CC plays here.
Have fun playing lineage2! If you have any questions contact me, GogetaCC.

Today CC defeated VS on BloodBunny's Lair, with a total score of 16-6.
The game was never really close, but VS still put up a good, nice fight. It wasn't a total walkover -
we had to trust on our luck and good teamwork to triumf in the end. Throughout the entire tournament VS
has been the clan I, personally, feared the most alongside DM. And when VS, seemingly without any problem, beat
DM with 13-7, me and the rest of our lineup grew sort of worried, and decided to train 24/7 this weekend
to ensure a win. And indeed we did. We trained bblair so much I almost couldn't stand it anymore. I do not even want
to think about how a loss in the final would have felt.
I already mentioned VS's semi-final versus DM. Now, considering our semi-final: We faced LB, a very old clan, that
recently made a very nice comeback, taking them all the way to the play-offs. We faced them on Security Breach v2,
and won quite easily, since neither Saddam nor Stunner showed up, making their warteam a lot weaker, consisting of
MasterSven, Shaney and Ironlight. Yasco, Anakin and Chiyu ran them over 17-2. I was gonna replace Ani in round 2, but it became a forfeit
since LB didn't have players after R3ptile disqualified Shaney, due to offending an official (R3ptile himself). Because
of this Stunner decided to leave the tournament in protest against R3ptile's "power-abusing", and also to kill LB.
The good part of this is that Ironlight and Criss are back in CC, since they rejoined the very same night as LB died.
Overall, the championships has come out great. CC captured 75 flags and lost 18 flags, counting all matches, exluding
forfeit points.
I would, in order to summarize the situation, want to quote what R3ptile said, on the Jj2WC-site: "Congratulations to Cracco Clan, who haven't lost a single *round* and simply crushed all their opponents and won this season easily as many people expected, you guys deserve it."

Yesterday we played a clanwar against FoR. Yes, this is the FoR that has beated CC in 2003.
So you could say we still had a score to settle with them. And thanks to some good teamplay between the three of us (Vegito, Grytolle and me), we did settle it.
The first round was really close. They were leading with 2-0, then we got back a little, and eventually the score was 4-3 for them. We managed to score twice in the last minutes of the clanwar and thats how the round ended with 5-4 in CC's favour.
The second round was ownage. Vegito, Grytolle and me were scoring repeatedly and they couldn't score once, resulting in 14-0. They had already kinda given up in the last minutes of the clanwar and Skull left the server before the clanwar was ended. 5-4 and 14-0, resulting in 19-4 for the Cracco Clan.
This means that CC will get to the semi finals. Our opponent will be LB, a very old clan (either from 2000 or 2001) which recently made a nice comeback (Stunner is still the leader). They defeated TF, LR and [Si], but lost to DM, resulting in them being the #2 of Group A. Since we are the #1 of Group B, we will face them. Some of our members have "personal problems" with LB members (especially Stunner), so we will be really motivated to win this one. If we win it, CC will be in the finals, playing against either DM or VS.

Site back up again!
Dx agreed that it would be better to cancel the Halo division. And in a while, the Runescape division will be removed as well. Anakin has started a (unofficial) Lineage 2 division a few weeks ago. But since things are going so well, we decided to make it an official division. It will be our only MMORPG division from now on, replacing both Runescape and Ragnarok Online. Feel free to check out the small info page and the constantly growing memberlist at the new L2 part!
Go here to download the game and register for a (free) account.
And go here for a site with much information about the game.

And so it seems, we have played our two most important matches of the first round in JJ2WCII.
The first match was against the Gurus of Proactive Warfare (GpW) in the level Nuclear Afterblast. CC and GpW have been rivals for years so I'm extremely happy with the result.
Which was 10-2 in our favour. 3-1 in the first round (Chiyu, Grytolle and Vegito vs. Urbs, ChavRash and SuperJazz) and 7-1 in the second round (Chiyu, Grytolle and Yasco vs. Urbs, ChavRash and SuperJazz). I would like to quote the host, ChippieBW:
"And so the clash of the titans ended in a smashing victory for the Cracco's. The final score was 10-2 for the clan lead by Chiyu, which proves again how strong the clan has grown recently. Beating GpW, which played really good despite the low score, will be counted as a crucial move and C-C proved with this match that they are one of the favourites for the first place of this tournament."
Get a screenshot here.
CC vs VS. A clan which we have already fought thrice, first beating them with 10-1, then beating them with 2-0 and finally with 11-9. The last game was pretty close, so we were hoping to beat them with a decent score this time. And, in Jungle's Edge, we did!
We used the same team formations as against GpW. The score was 13-4 for CC. 8-2 in the first round (Chiyu, Grytolle and Vegito vs. Sasik, Sylver and CrushWurst) and 5-2 in the second round (Chiyu, Grytolle and Yasco vs. Sasik, Sylver and CrushWurst). Logs of both matches (and other JJ2WC matches) can be found in this topic.
Again, I would like to quote ChippieBW:
Before the match started, I didn't really expect a really spectacular match and a semi-easy victory for ĒC. During the match, I saw that my expectations were coming true and that ĒC was going to win from VS without much trouble. However, at the end the ĒC members complained that they sucked during the match! I didn't really notice that, because the game went quite smoothly for the Cracco's. However, such statements indicate that ĒC is becoming an overwhelming power force in JJ2 and that they are getting seen as finalist clan more and more. As they like to say, the 'Imperial march' has really begun and it'll take much power from big guys (read: DM) to stop it. To be continued."
Get a screenshot here.
Last night, I had an important ECC meeting with Nimrod, Sanderstijl, Grytolle and Anakin, mainly about the four divisions SSB, RO, RS and Halo. SSB GameLeader Psycothic has left CC, and the division itself is kind of illegal (it's an online Rom). So SSB division will be removed. The hosting of our RO server sdRO would go to Jedi but I haven't heard anything from him for weeks either, so the RO division will be removed as well. And we still have to see about Runescape and Halo, I'll talk to the GameLeaders or Vice-GameLeaders. We think it's better for now to focus on the main divisions and the community projects, such as the newspaper.

Upcoming Tuesday, the 5th of April, the Cracco Clan will face the Gurus of Proactive Warfare in the upcoming JJ2WCII tournament. It's our first match, and I suspect it to be the hardest match as well. The level we'll play in is called Nuclear Afterblast. Good luck to our warteam!

On the twelth of January 2005 we played a CW against
Total Freaks that ended with the score 24 to 5.
The gamemode was of course Capture The Flag which we played five
rounds of. The levels were Happy Semiconducor CTF, Distopia CTF, BloodBunny's Lair,
(Diamondus Warzone) and (Security Breach version 2).
The last two rounds ended ten to zero for CC, after TF resigned.
Overall it was a surprisingly easy, but good, game with most of the action in distopia. I think it is a shame that the last two rounds couldnt be played, since Seph didnt get to play at all =(. CC's team consisted of Anakin, Chiyu, Grytolle, Squirrel, Vegito, Yasco, (Sephiroth) and playing for TF was Enigma, Labratkid, Thunder, Unhit, White Rabbit.

Division changes, staff changes and trial members

- Since we were looking for one or two FPS division(s) for our clan, and not much was done with CS, we took Dx' suggestion to play Halo. The condition was that I wanted at least 6 members (including him and CoLeader Neo) for a new division. So I'll talk with them and see what their plans are. At the moment, it is about 75% percent certain that this division will come, but we haven't decided on a GameLeader and Vice-GameLeader yet.
- Some of you may have heard about SDRO already. Instead of playing on a small freeshard RO server like KeiRO, I thought it would be better if we had our own server. Ofcourse, everyone would be able to join and play on it for free, but it's going to be lead by three CC'ers (Shadow, Sanderstijl and myself). The name of the project is Silver Dragon Ragnarok Online. And this will replace the "normal" RO division.
- Tman has started a dedicated server for CC. Which is a very nice idea (both CTF levels by CCers and levels not by CCers will be hosted). But sadly, the server has been attacked (renaming + crashing). This, and that joke with the newspage last week has prompted me to get a Security Guard, who can keep an eye on these matters and help preventing them from happening. Nimrod's our candidate (vote at CC forums!), since he has lost his Technical Supporter position. Sanderstijl is willing to take the Technical Supporter position, so vote at the CC forums about it!
- As an addition to the "red members" (Warteam) at the memberlists, there are now "green members" as well. These are trial members, members who have been given a chance in CC, but who will be played with some more, before we decide whether he gets to stay for good or not.
- PS: because of a lack of [si] players, we had to cancel/delay the clanwar. And about TF, their warteam members are having exams this month so they said they'll only be able to play with us in March. Oh and by the way, Vegito rejoined our SSB Division, Criss has joined our JJ2 Division as a trial member and unfortunately, we had to suspend Crusader (temporarily), because he's still not good enough for our clan.
Some things...

- First of all, most likely we're going to get rid of the Ragnarok Online division. The division just isn't active enough, being on a private server and all.. I'll give away my items to the ones who stayed in the guild till the end. The good news is that it will be replaced by a FPS division (so we can cover all the main genres). Three options have been discussed, you can vote here, for Unreal Tournament 2004, Counter-Strike or Battlefield.
- Member changes. Sadly, Vegito left us (but I think he'll be back). Fortunately, an old face rejoined us, IronLight/Deathmaster (now known as IronFilth), on JJ2.
- Three site updates: Some new memberpages added. Go check them out! Also, the History page has been divided into chapters, and 2004 is now there as well. Finally, I coloured all the warteam members (members who will fight for CC in clanwars) red at the memberlists.
- NEWSPAPER will return! This time in English. I'm still looking for people for the team though. Sanderstijl and Neo have already agreed to help, but I'm still looking for a movie reviewer, interviewer, novelist, columnist and an additional cook (chinese food recipes only gets boring, eh McDragon?). And ofcourse people who could just send me their self-written articles, about whatever they like that COULD be interested for fellow members (we aim at people between 12 and 21).
- Upcoming: CC vs. TF
Well, we pretty much decided everything for this war (it'll be in early/mid February), except for the EXACT date.
There'll be four rounds, 3vs3 each. Two chosen by TF: Distopia and Blood Bunny's Lair. Two chosen by CC: Diamondus Warzone and Security Breach V2. We'll see what happens...
- Upcoming: CC vs. [si]
We figured that we had to play some more stronger clans (like TF), to prepare ourselves for the upcoming JJ2WCII. So here it is, we challenged [si]. They had one condition though -> they wanted to choose BOTH levels. Security Breach V2 and Happy Semi-conductor, two levels in which they're both very good. So in other words; I don't expect CC to win this, but we'll do our best anyway. It'll be on next Saturday.

Unknown File (JJ2) and Dragon (JJ2) have left our clan, and GoldenBoy (JJ2), Alex/Anibuslr (RS) and Dx (JJ2) have joined us. The latter has been in CC before.
I'd also like to say that I, CraccoBoy, have changed my name into Chiyu. A name with four meanings; the heroic star, the brave star, the helpful star and the obscure star. Which of those applies to me mostly is up to you to decide. But the official Japanese translation of the word is "Healing".
Our War Arranger Yasco has arranged a clanwar against TF. Nothing except the fact that we are going to do four 2vs2s has been decided so far. TF is a formidable clan, so our warteam will have to do a lot of training first. The match will be a good training for JJ2WC II, a clan tournament we're going to take place in in spring.
