CC vs VS & CC vs LR [rematch for earlier this month]

On the 27th and 28th of December, we played the hard clanwar against VS (VerSus), a clan we've fought before. Anakin, Vegito and myself gave our best for CC and we managed to defeat them once again. I'm not satisfied with our poor results in DW, so I already challenged them for a rematch. Let's hope they'll accept ;). It turned out to be a close 11-9 for CC. More information will be in the full story.

Today (31 December 2004), we have fought LR (Legends Reborn) again. Their JJ2 leader Jurgen decided to play with Alex, and it resulted in a 20-2 victory for CC. Gg though. More information will be in the full story.

I'd also like to announce that we've done some succesful recruiting last week.
Ragnarok at Runescape and Age of Empires 2, Yasco at Jazz Jackrabbit 2 and Earl at Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Welcome them ;)!




CC's new structrure & upcoming clanwar

First of all, CrashMash, Sephiroth and Grytolle (from the LR clan) decided to join CC. Our treaty with LR still stands (helping eachother) although the clan might die pretty soon. We stopped with the silver team though (no more CC'ers helping LR in clanwars)..

I promoted Anakin to CoLeader (so we have two coleaders, both focussing on different games) and if everything goes well, Grytolle will be the new Vice-GameLeader of JJ2 (Scare is still in, but she resigned). If everything goes according to plan, our structure will look like this (thanks to Nimrod for making the pic):

Second note: We're going to have a rematch against VS (the clan we beated with 10-1 or something a long time ago). They have improved, but so have we, so who knows what will happen ;). The mappool for the clanwar is still undecided, but will most likely be something like DW/Semi/Dist/BBlair.

By the way, according to Anakin, the www.CraccoClan.com domain is coming back really soon. And there'll be a (Dutch) CC meeting, on the 4th, 5th and 6th of January.




Other news from the past few weeks

- The newspaper. As an experiment, we've had a newspaper in the clan for 5 weeks. Because the other editors didn't send me their articles in time, I had to cancel it.

- Nimrod. After Mechanic was kicked out of CC due to power-abuse in #CraccoClan (our IRC channel, yes, you should join it, server: QuakeNet), Nimrod rejoined CC with his old position of Server Admin.

- Growing divisions. Age of Empires 2 division has awoken from a long sleep! We've had some very good and fun trainings this week and we plan to do at least 2 trainings each week from now on. Ragnarok Online division is also on the increasing hand, we have a nice guild with very cool new people like Guppy, Garion, Relkcion, Light, Ernie and NemeC. And with Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Super Smash Brothers and Runescape, everything's going as it should be. Good times!

- Bye Gunbound. We removed the other division, Gunbound, simply because it was too unactive. Only 5 people were in that division, who are all in other divisions as well anyway, so we didn't lose any members.

- Memberlist changes. Since we've gotten quite a few new members lately, the clan was getting pretty big. This lead to my decision to kick off all unactive members (with unactive I mean; people who're not on-line at least once a week without a proper reason). If you're one of the people kicked out (you can see at the memberlists), please contact me and I'll most likely let you back in if you're dedicated enough. We now have 71 members left, divided over 5 divisions.

A lot has happened in this period of the site being down. Allow me to give a quick summary in this news post and the next news post.

Alliance with LR (Legends Reborn). LR is a fusion of BC and TcM. What this alliance means; our clans support eachother when one is in trouble. Members of both clans have to treat eachother with respect (which they already did before anyway).
But more importantly, members of CC are always welcome in LR training/event servers, and vice versa. And yes, we're hosting a lot of trainings lately (at least 1 or 2 each day), we're very active at JJ2 at the moment. Another interesting detail (for LR) is the "Silver Team". Anakin, SonGohan/Warrior, Vegito and myself are the Silver Team, and we're helping LR out becoming a better and more professional. For now this also means that the four of us count as official LR members and are allowed to play for them in clanwars. Until they don't need our help any longer.
This treaty also means that Sephiroth, Grytolle, Yasco and Darky/Angerfist from LR count as official CC members. Give them a warm welcome ;)!

We played a friendly CW match VS BC today on Jj2 and we won with 10-0. We both picked a level and hosted 1 round, ofcource CC won both rounds with 5-0, figures because it coudnt be a 10-0 if the 2 rounds woudnt have been 5-0 both. GG, Balcan!




CC's 5th birthday

As some of you may remember, I started with CC in September 1999. 5 years is a nice number, so we're going to do something special this year. We're gonna have a meeting in a popular theme park called Six Flags. To make sure our group doesn't get too large, we've made this meeting for "CC'ers who have directly contributed to the good status CC is in at the moment". Which means mostly GameLeaders and Vice-GameLeaders. For the other CC'ers who'd like to be at a real life meeting; there will be other chances later . More details about this later, at our forum.

5 years passed, hopefully at least 5 more years to go!

Guild Wars canceled!

It's been a while since I last posted here , but anyways, CC ISN'T going to Guild Wars (www.guildwars.com).
The reason we aren't going is because , well the fact is there WILL be a monthly fee, and most people won't pay for it , so we prolly wont get much members with us , so we are not going!




No DF Division & CC vs. DT aftermath

Gogeta has decided to drop the DF division (not enough interested CC members and not enough time). Instead, he'll replace Ant as Vice-Gameleader of the Runescape division (GameLeader Catz agreed).

CC had a clanwar against DT a while ago. This is what happened. The first round was hosted by a CCer, in the level semi-conductor. We know it'd be our worst level during the war, and we lost 2-5 in that. No problem, because the second round was going to be in DW, our best level. A DT'er hosted that round, and CC won 5-1. Reptile later said that they lost this round because of a seeker PU not respawning, and they would've won if it wasn't for that. Funny that he complains about this, while a DT member was hosting the round (so if what Reptile says is true, it was DT's own fault).

Third round was when the trouble really began. We were kind enough to let DT choose the host for the third round. They picked Yumoma XD. Both warteams arrived, everything was going well up till that point. Squash was saying (racistical) things which pissed off the host Yumoma. That's why Yum banned him (not CC's fault). Reptile left the server after that, followed by Yasco. Jippo stayed and offered to do the last round us vs him all by himself. Ofcourse we declined, because we wanted to play the clanwar fairly. We failed in re-arranging the 3rd round (Reptile refused at first), so the CW was 7-6.

PS: The CC IRL Vacation was fun, photos will be up as soon as possible. Next year we'll go to another place though.




New JJ2 War Arranger and new WC3 GameLeader

Yasco, who recently left TF and rejoined CC, has been promoted to JJ2 War Arranger. Ofcourse he's also joining the warteam itself (he's a very good player in Semiconductor).

Since Moonblaze left CC after some silly argument with Nimrod (who's not even in the same division as him), we replaced him with Anakin (who has already recruited a bunch of members).




CC Holiday

Some of the CC members have gone togeather on a joint holiday, meaning CC is running without its clan leader, and some game leaders etc.

This is a diffcult period, but we hope Game leaders and Vice Game Leaders who are still here can keep there devisions going and lets keep Craccoclan going while there gone :)

Replacements and such

Three changes coming up in August/September.
1. Gunbound division is going to be replaced by a Delta Force division, because according to Gogeta, our Gunbound guild is too noob. Gogeta will remain the GameLeader.
2. Ragnarok Online is going to be replaced by a newer MMORPG as soon as it comes out, called Guild Wars (www.GuildWars.com). Eraser will be the GameLeader.
3. Roms division will be called SSB Division from August on, because we play the other Rom games just for fun, while the division circles around SSB really.





Warcraft III Division

Recreation of the Warcraft III Division succeed with support from some friends, hopefully some of the supporters will stay and have a fun time. Once the porbationary period week has ended, several members will be choosen as shamans to help recruit to the clan. The recreation of the Craccoclan WC3 Division will take place the Wednesday the 7th of July. This decision was made on my own due lag of response from the rest of the clan. Everyone aviable and intersted in joining the clan are asked to meet up in the Northrend battle.net channel CCw at 18:00 (GMT Offset +1) that date. Least 10 players are required to start a clan, if fewer meets up the recreation will fail.

We just played a clanwar VS NOT and they surely were NOT a (fair) clan, we won the war by 15-0 because of "Bad sportmanship" By NOT (using Reptile's (MT leader) words here). It went wrong, because Skull who ruined the whole war, started to kill CC members without any reason before we started.




Becoming an official clan with SSB!!!

Hooray, our "Roms division" is having A LOT of success at the moment! The tournament has added some fun to the division too. But as the title says, we've registered as an official clan for SSB. This means we're gonna play clanwars and participate in tournaments after a few weeks of intense training. http://ssb.emulation64.com/forums/ is the community with all the SSB playing clans. I'd like you all to sign up on that forum, but for god's sake, add [CC] in front of your name if you're gonna sign up there! It really leaves a big impression on the people there to see how close and big we are.

Here's the guidelines for SSB:

- I'm not letting anyone in our Roms division anymore, because if we let too many people in who aren't too good, people who fight them and beat them will think "omg CC sucks". If you really want to get in, I want you to duel me + Anakin + Vegito and win atleast 2 of the 3 duels.

- When we're ready, after a few weeks of intense training, we want to play as many friendly clanwars as possible. Works like this: some teambattle 2 vs 2's, two teams from each clan facing eachother, preferably 3 or 5 rounds (both clans will have to agree about the levels). Clan which wins most rounds wins the clanwar. It's more fair if each clan uses different players in each round, so more people get a chance to play.

- We have two "Cracco Clan" gaming servers on-line on Kaillera in which everybody is welcome to host and play his/her games. One in Europe, hosted by Anakin, and one in the USA, hosted by Punisher12.

We have oppened a forum with 32 polls, me and CB selected 64 games, and they'l be putted into a 1 vs 1 poll against any other game, and you are suposed to vote on the best game of the 2, the game with the most votes will advance to the next round more info, and voting can be done here You need to register on the forums trough, so i gave u a easy and fast regristration, no more e-mail vallidation, just username, e-mail and pass and profile info could be done later, whenever u want to.

Here's in short what happened with all divisions lately:
- JJ2: No big changes, but we did won a 15-2 clanwar against BOD.
- RO: Decided to stay on keiRO, they're getting a wipe now so we'll have a fresh start.
- GB: We're just looking for active, skilled members here.
- UT: We're just looking for active, skilled members here.
- AoE2: A lot of people had a wrong version and router problems. I can't help with the router problems, but you can download the patch in the downloads section at this site.

- RS: No big changes.

The forum has crashed. According to Anakin there's no way we can save it. We're doing our best to get it back asap. I know that it's very annoying to start over, but could everyone please register again, and post a lot, as soon as it's up?

A lot of important things were posted on the forum instead of the news page here. So just to be sure, I'm going to give all elites an account here so that they can post when someone joins the clan, someone leaves the clan, CC's got a clanwar and other news...

What's up with these divisions?
Both have a problem.

- Ragnarok Online: Which server? Every CCer seems to have a different opinion about it. Click here to see and vote: http://craccoclan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=103

- Roms: Which gameLeader? Psycothic (formerly known as Kdian, who is just back in the clan) is Vice-GameLeader, but the renewed division needs a new GameLeader as well. If you're up for the job and use the 1964 emulator with kaillera built in to play roms online (like the whole division), contact me.
