- About Age Of Empires 2

Age of Empires is a Real Time Strategy game designed by microsoft. The simple goal for the game, is to conqueror your enemy with your army. To do this you have to build up an entire civilisation starting from the Dark Ages where you can do practically nothing to the Imperial age where you are accompanied by soldiers such as hand cannoneers/paladin's and so on. The secret to victory is all in your own strategy. So building your structures in strategic places, building an army that opposes the enemy's army, having many villagers for quick advancing* and building up your army and researching new armor's etc is all part of victory.

-You can choose out of 13 civilisations in Age of empires II (AOK) and 13+5 civilisations in Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion (AOK:CE)
-Every civilisation has it's advantages and it's disadvantages. For example: Vikings are unable to build camels, though they have the unique longboats.
-The game also has a campaign mode where you can controll the mighty empire of Genghis kahn/Barbarossa/Saladin/Joan of Arc/Montezuma/Atilla the Hun and El Cid.
-For beginners there's an -easy to learn - campaign (William Wallace) where you learn every possible relevant thing you can do in the game to get to be an unexperienced-noob.
-The game get's even better when you play it online. What's cooler than slaughtering your friend(s) in a 1vs1 or 4vs4 battle.
-Get from noob to rook to intermediate to expert to master by winning online matches.

*advancing: In order to build newer buildings/armymen/technology's you need to 'advance', when you advance you take a step in time. For example from the dark ages (time where people don't have mounted units (cavalry) and ranged units (archers) e.g.) to the feudal age where you DO have simple mounted units and ranged units.

P.S. The quicker you advance the quicker you are able to research and build all possible units/buildings/technology's though when you don't build an army to defend yourself in time, you are like a car without wheels in the time where people still travel by horse.
